Common questions
Why can't my friend's phone see mine?
Sharing works over the local network. Make sure both phones have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on (you don't need an internet connection — just the radios), both members joined the same trip, and both have lit the campfire. Nothing is shared until the campfire is lit. If the phones still don't find each other, check that Pinedrop has Local Network permission in Settings → Apps → Pinedrop.
My album is empty after creating a trip
The album fills in from your photo library using the trip's date range. Check that the dates cover when the photos were taken, and that Pinedrop has photo library access (Settings → Apps → Pinedrop → Photos).
Where are my photos stored?
On your phone, and only there. Pinedrop has no servers and no cloud — photos move directly between trip members' devices. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
How do I try Pinedrop with one phone?
On the first screen tap "Try a demo trip" — it walks the whole flow (campfire, a simulated member joining, downloading an original) on a single device.
